The project

The project in detail

What have we done?

We've recently carried out additional surveys and are finalising designs for the project.

Planning permission was granted in 2013 for the upgrading of the A723 to dual carriageway.

You can view plans and access other information on this by using reference number 13/01279/FUL on our online planning system.

The construction of the road under rail-bridge at Carfin, was finished in 2014.

The project will now deliver the rest of the approved proposal to provide the dual carriageway and shared cycle/footway.
