The recent promotional event for our section of the City Region Community Benefits Hub brought together local organisations and contractors to showcase the positive impacts that registering on the Hub have brought to both parties and the wider community.

Linking in with other council services, our Community Partnership Team have carried out an initial ‘soft launch’ of the hub which involved matching companies holding live contracts with North Lanarkshire Council with requests for support from organisations throughout the nine community board areas. Within the Northern Corridor area, Gartcosh Development Trust, Auchinloch Community Council and Northern Corridor Community Volunteers have so far benefited. 

At the event, representatives from businesses with North Lanarkshire Council contracts such as Circular IT, JH Civil Engineering and Clark Contracts shared how these partnerships have strengthened relationships with the voluntary sector.

Looking ahead

The official launch of the Community Benefits Hub is planned for early 2026, with an expanded network of suppliers to meet even more community requests.
