Moodiesburn - Local Outcome Improvement Plan Projects
This project contributed to the Northern Corridor Community Board Moodiesburn Local Outcome Improvement Plan (LOIP) priority and produced several positive outcomes for local people.
As a result of an ongoing consultation process carried out by Moodiesburn Community Action, new Local Development Programme (LDP) and other projects have been identified and delivered across Moodiesburn.
The recent creation of a nearby synthetic football pitch by council colleagues has been complemented by a new skate park build in Kelvin Drive. In addition, two new noticeboards have recently been installed near the Pivot Centre and on Stoneyetts Road to enable information to be shared about community events/activities and updates to be provided on the progress of forthcoming Pivot Centre refurbishment work.
Work has also been carried out to install new play area equipment around the MUGA at the other end of Moodiesburn on the grounds of St. Michael’s PS. The installation of a new outdoor gym facility near the library will also take place by Spring 2026.
New outdoor facilities will help promote physical and mental health and wellbeing for adults and children alike, with the play are development also addressing the Northern Corridor Children & Young People LOIP priority.
