Moodiesburn Community Action - Community Engagement Event
The project contributed to the Northern Corridor Community Board Moodiesburn and Health Inequalities Local Outcome Improvement Plan priorities and produced several positive outcomes for local people.
50 local people and families engaged in the event that enabled local people to raise issues and concerns that were meaningful to them. This event also allowed local people to access relevant information and advice from different community organisations and partners. These organisations include Moodiesburn Community Action Group, Moodiesburn Parish Church, North Lanarkshire Council Tackling Poverty Team, North Lanarkshire Carers Together and Northern Corridor Community Volunteers.
This event resulted in partners receiving needed referrals and Moodiesburn Community Action group to share their community consultation questionnaire.
In addition to accessing key information and advice from partners, community members of all ages now have improved access to statutory and voluntary sector services and have also increased access to healthier eating opportunities and free period dignity products.
