Chryston Hub Community Engagement Event
In collaboration with Chryston Primary School and Chryston Hub, we hosted a well-attended community information event during Challenge Poverty Week, coinciding with parents’ evening.
At this event, over 400 parents engaged with a range of support services, including North Lanarkshire Carers Together, NHS health visitors, One Parent Families Scotland, Barnardo’s Families Here and Now, North Lanarkshire Disability Forum, and Action for Children NL Young Carers.
The event also featured the distribution of soup packs and recipes through our Empowerment NL funding, and period products through our Period Dignity initiative. Additionally, the school provided access to its uniform bank and a selection of Halloween costumes for families.
Head Teacher Jilly Moffat noted: “Lots of positive feedback from parents. Referrals were made with all stallholders to support our families further.”
