Motherwell and Ravenscraig Active Travel Hubs
We’re proposing to develop cycling and wheeling facilities in Motherwell and Ravenscraig. This is in addition to facilities planned at the Bellshill Gateway to Strathclyde Park. At Ravenscraig, we’re considering cycling facilities, including:
- leisure
- training and skills
- repair and maintenance workshop
In Motherwell town centre, similar to schemes already introduced in Ayr, Falkirk and Stirling, the aim is to develop an active travel hub. This could also provide a cycle hire scheme and access to bike repair services.
We’re carrying out work to assess demand for the facilities being considered at each location and what is needed to make them successful. Feedback from local people is critical to this.
From your comments, we can gain useful local knowledge and find out what type of facilities would meet the needs of the community. The survey below will take approximately 5 to 10 minutes to complete.
