Summary of proposed use of the asset - This community asset transfer (CAT) is being requested, to protect and preserve the Viewpark Gardens and develop a community provision that will be used by individuals and community groups.

Viewpark Gardens Trust has asked for a review of the decision taken by the council to refuse their application for the community asset transfer of Viewpark Gardens.

Documents relating to this review are available on request by the Elected Members Review Panel, Viewpark Gardens Trust and identified parties, who may have expressed concerns as part of the initial public consultation process.

Name of asset - Former Visitor Centre and surrounding plot, Long houses (x2), Blue barn, Rotary, Meadow and Crush fields.

Nature of request - Lease

Summary of proposed use of the asset - To use the Buildings and land to provide an accessible area for community groups and events encouraging development of resilient community groups with ties to local people through partnership working. 

Community transfer body - Cliftonville and Coatdyke Community Group

Name of asset - Coatbridge Indoor Bowling club

Nature of request - Full transfer of ownership

Summary of proposed use of the asset - Develop a community hub with affordable community activities and services for the benefit of the community

Summary of proposed use of the asset:

Cumbernauld Cottage Trust aims to redevelop the former Cumbernauld Theatre building as a new community and music facility to be known as The Cottage, comprising a range of accommodation for hire and a café/bar.
